I’m originally from Lima, Peru, and I’ve also lived in Ecuador and Germany before settling here in New York, back in 1986. I’ve been fortunate to lead the Cuba-Rushford Central School District for nearly 14 years as superintendent and 22 years as an administrator, focusing on supporting our students, staff, and community. I truly believe schools do their best when administrators, teachers, students, and families work together toward the same goals.
I’ve been married to my wife, Theresa, for an amazing 31 years, and we are proud parents of eight amazing children. Together, we’ve fostered over 50+ children for the past 29 years. Our mission has always been to help children out of difficult situations and provide them with a safe, loving home.
I hold multiple master’s degrees from Houghton University, Alfred University, and Saint Bonaventure University. I have been a publisher, a translator, a Spanish teacher, a technology integrator, a professional developer, and a principal at all levels. Outside of work and family, I enjoy motorcycling, scuba diving, woodworking, and pursuing entrepreneurial and serving the needs of people.
My favorite quote is, "Learn to do right: seek justice. Defend the oppressed."

I am a life-long resident of the area having grown up in Bolivar, NY. In 2000, I earned by master’s degree in business administration from St. Bonaventure University. My work experience includes 2 years as Controller for a manufacturing company and approximately 15 years as an auditor, primarily for school districts and not-for-profit entities. In 2017, I earned my master’s degree in education and became the School Business Administrator for Scio Central School. Cuba-Rushford has now been my home since January 2024!
I currently reside in Cuba, NY with my husband and enjoy crocheting, reading, nature, and spending time with my family and dog. While I am generally very reserved, there are two sure-fired topics that can be used to break the ice with me – dachshunds and BTS!

I am originally from West Almond, NY, and a graduate of Genesee Valley, then attended Alfred State College, earning an Associate's Degree in Business Administration and Management, followed by SUNY Geneseo, where I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After attending St.Bonaventure University for my Master's in School Counseling, I moved to Virginia and served as a School Counselor for 8 years, during which time I decided to pursue my second Master's Degree in Administration. I then served as the Director of Student Services for 5 years and, most recently, as the Interim Assistant Principal at Carroll County Public Schools. My husband and I decided to return to NY to raise our children closer to family, which brought me to Cuba-Rushford! I am thrilled to be joining Rebel Nation and look forward to many years to come in the district!
I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters, as well as extended family and friends, especially on the family farm. I also consider myself an avid health and wellness enthusiast and love all things fashion and beauty! Although I resided in Virginia for quite a long time, I'm still a Bills fan!
One of my favorite quotes is "It's hard to beat a person who never gives up."

I started my career at Cuba-Rushford as the District’s Professional Development and School Climate Coordinator in 2019, which I worked at until I moved to my position as a principal in 2021. In this time, I have felt nothing but support from the Cuba-Rushford community. It continues to be my privilege to serve as the middle/ high school building principal.
Prior to joining the Cuba-Rushford team, I worked as an elementary teacher, teaching third and fifth grade in Clarksville, Tennessee, Bronx, New York, and Buffalo, New York.
I grew up in Olean, NY and graduated high school from Olean City School District. Right after high school, I attended Jamestown Community College. I completed my bachelor's degree at the University of Buffalo. I received a master's degree from SUNY Potsdam, where I became a certified teacher. I completed a second master's degree at the University at Buffalo, where I became a certified building-level and district-level school administrator.
Using my core values of organization, integrity, and trust, I am committed to being a leader that will:
· Guide the continued implementation of high-level student learning.
· Create a collaborative learning community amongst staff.
· Continue to build positive relationships with parents, students, teachers, staff, and our surrounding community.
